Bug Themed Alphabet Games

These bug themed alphabet games are perfect for preschoolers who are working on their letters and sounds. These game boards are differentiated to suit the varied abilities of your 4-5 year olds so you are able to change the game to suit your children!

How to Use

Select a game board from pages 3 to 6 and a set of leaf cards from page 7-9 which you should cut out and pop in a bag.

Students then draw a leaf card from the bag and match it to the correct space on the game board!

Be sure to check that the board and leaves you’ve selected suit the needs of your little learners. For example, your early learners may benefit from matching a upper-case game board to upper-case leaf cards (pages 3 and 8) while your advanced learners may match upper-case letters to lower-case letters or lower-case letters to the picture cards! There are so many options!

Use these games during literacy centres, morning work or reading groups. They could even be used as a sensory activity by hiding the leaf cards in a tub of dyed green rice!
