If you’re looking for a simple End of Year writing task, you’ve come to the right place!
As the end of the school year quickly approaches, you might be starting to think about how far your Little Learners have come over the year with you as their teacher. You’ve taught your little Preppies how to line up and walk quietly through the school. They’ve learnt how to sit on the carpet and show respectful listening. You’ve taught them how to read and how to count to 20 (and beyond). I’m sure you’ve taught hundreds if not thousands of valuable lessons during their time in your class!
I’ve put together a little freebie that will help your current Prep students to think back on their school year and everything you have taught them!
Enter the “Everything you need to know about Prep” booklet! All you need to do to prepare for this writing task, is print the cover on thick cardboard and then make a class set of the appropriate writing pages. I’ve included both lined and unlined paper so that you can differentiate for the needs of each of your students.
Once your students have finished their writing and drawn some gorgeous illustrations, you can bind them together into a little book. You might like to keep this as a little personal keepsake from your class or maybe you can photocopy their writing and include them in their Prep portfolios. You could also bring this book out next year and read it to your new class!

I’ve included a Prep, Foundation, Kindergarten and Year 1 version of these booklets for all of my Australian Teacher friends. I hope you’ll find them super useful for your end of year celebrations and activities! You might also like my End of Year awards.
