The end of the teaching year is always a busy time so staying organised is super important! Today I’d like to share a super easy tip to help you keep on top of everything so that the whole process is less stressful!
At the beginning of the year, I put together a file for each of the students in my class and pop them into my portable filing box. This makes it really easy for me to locate assessment pieces completed by each student whenever I might need them!
Inside their file, you will find the assessment pieces we have completed throughout the year. These might include writing tasks, anecdotal notes I have taken and running records.
I also keep a tray on my desk marked ‘to file’ which is where I put our assessment tasks once they have been marked. I try to sort these into the portable files whenever I have a moment.
Having all of our assessment tasks sorted throughout the term makes report card writing much easier at the end of the term. I can just grab my filing box and my laptop and I am ready to go!
I hope this assessment tip makes your Term 4 a little easier. Be sure to read some of the other amazing tips over at the Term4, No Chore Link Up by From the Pond!
