I’ve been a busy little bee lately, working hard to finish a new Science Unit for Term 4. This unit is all about exploring how things move! To begin the unit, I set up an exploration table full of exciting toys that moved in different ways. This was such a big hit with my 15 month old who wanted in on the action too!

Next we started to explore the different ways objects can move. First we made a DIY ramp with blocks and experimented with different toys and objects. You could even try changing the height and surface of the ramp to see what difference they make.

I included a variety of black line masters and printables in my unit as well as lots of hands on ideas. Here’s an example of one of the worksheets for the rolling investigation.

My favourite activity was definitely ‘The EGGsperiment’ where you place a whole egg in a cup of vinegar for 48 hours. You can then rinse the shell off and you are left with a rubbery egg! This was so much fun but be careful, you don’t want to burst the egg like we did!

You will also find some of my very popular sight word books inside the unit! I know how much everyone loves them so I have included one for FREE over on my TPT store. My Roll, Bounce, Spin and Slide unit is available over on TPT and DBT and I am sure you will love it as much as we did!
The packet includes 44 pages of both hands on scientific investigations teamed with black-line-masters and printables allowing you to easily assess your students along the way.
