Today I would like to share a little rhyming activity that I prepared for my class before the holidays. We were winding up our unit on rhyming so I wanted to a fun activity to finish the unit off with!
My kids have always loved Write the Room activities so I made some flashcards and posted them around the classroom. Each student had a recording sheet and had to write the two matching rhyming words together. Even my lower kids were able to find success in this activity, it just took them a little longer to copy the words down.
In this packet, I also included another version of the activity with just 5 flashcards rather than 10. In this version, students would only need to locate the flashcard that matched the word on their sheet.
I hope your class of kiddies enjoy this activity as much as mine did! It’s a great way to get your kids up and moving while revising rhyming words so it’s sure to be a hit! You can grab a copy of the printables in my website store.
This is such a great activity! I love how excited preppies get when they have little treasure hunts!
"It is so important to learn the etiquette of the internet and how to be safe in the cyber-world. You are learning life-
long, valuable lessons from Mrs. Yollis. I am a pediatrician and I always talk to my older patients about internet safety.
I tell them that the internet is much like the real world in that you should never talk to strangers. I remind my patients
not to post what they look like, where they live or where they go to school. I am so glad that you and your friends are
